The Arts Council is thrilled about the creation of the Whatchamacallit Folk Art Festival on October 10, 2026 from 10am to 5pm behind Cotton Hall.

The grassy area located directly across the street from the Agricultural ICON Mural will transform into a hub of American Folk Art. The festival will be a celebration with live music, art, and artist demonstrations.

Cotton Hall would be available for restroom usage as well as for a nice cool stopover for two performances of Swamp Gravy Country Come to Town.

Booths will be available for folk artists who have an authentic and specific point-of-view with influences of Outsider art, folk art, or folk handicrafts: painting, pottery, sculpture, broom making, handcrafted wood items.

The Birdsong Conference Center will be available as a rainy day location.
